Food Preservation ClassIf food preservation means endless hours spent in front of a hot stove, this class might be for you.  You'll learn the basics of canning, freezing, dehydrating, live storage, fermenting, and other tactics.  We'll discuss optimal ways to preserve particular foods and explore tips and equipment that will make the process go much more efficiently.  The focus of this class is on making good food preservation choices and getting the food "put up" efficiently, not a detailed lesson on how to do each particular method.Age: High School & UpLocation: Middle School Library, Entrance #2Instructor: Mike HaaslMike promotes permaculture homesteading with an emphasis on high rewards for less effort.
