Gardening is a wonderful way to grow healthy food, see the fruits of your labor, teach children about nature, and enjoy time outdoors. Learn from a local homesteader about organic gardening - from creating a garden space to planting, nurturing, and harvesting your bounty. Make the most of your garden while staying earth-friendly.

Instructor: Mike Haasl
Mike Haasl promotes permaculture homesteading with an emphasis on high rewards for less effort. He teaches, writes and experiments with ways to homestead with a lighter footprint. He lives in northern Wisconsin and tends a big garden, greenhouse and flock of chickens. He also instructs various classes with the Nicolet College Outdoor Adventure Program in Rhinelander.
