Becoming a Confident Communicator
Enhance your conversations and build stronger connections, whether it be at home, at work, or in everyday life. This class will help you feel more at ease when speaking with others, while sharpening your listening skills and learning practical tools for clearer, more effective communication.
Date: Wednesday, Nov. 5
Time: 6:00 - 8:00 PM
Ages: High School and up. Participants younger than 16 must be accompanied by a registered adult.
Instructor: Christine Corson
Christine
 is a retired Special Education teacher and has worked with people of a variety of ages and abilities. She has also assisted and led several staff development opportunities in the realm of communication. Her life has been filled with exciting opportunities since she learned how to improve her own skills in the art of conversation, and she is excited to share her strategies to improve communication with the community.
Location: District Board Meeting Room (298), Entrance #6
Park in the Elementary School parking lot and walk into the commons area. Take a right toward the High School Hallway, through the first set of doors. The District Board Room is the first door on the left.

A Beginner’s Writing Workshop
Join high school ELA teacher Katie Pritzl for a four-session writing series designed to spark creativity and strengthen your writing skills. Each class will focus on a different element of short story writing. Whether you enjoy journaling, fiction, or personal essays, you’ll leave each session with new tools, feedback, and inspiration. All experience levels are welcome. 
Dates: Wednesdays, Oct. 22, Oct. 29, Nov. 12 & Nov. 19 (4 sessions)
Time: 5:30 - 7:00 pm
Ages: High School and up.

Location: Room 282, Entrance #6

Non-Profit Organizations 101

Are you on the board of a non-profit organization, or thinking about starting a non-profit? Then this is the class for you! Learn what it takes to set up a non-profit, the different types of non-profits, and the yearly filing requirements with the state of Wisconsin and the IRS. Understand the different types of licenses and registrations you will need, and learn safeguarding techniques to make sure your hard work stays with the organization!

Dates: Thursdays, Nov. 6 & Nov. 13 (2 Sessions)
Time: 6:00 - 7:30 pm
Ages: Adults
Instructor: Lori Lashua, H&R Block
Lori runs and owns the Tomahawk H&R Block franchise and has over 20 years of industry experience. She is currently taking classes to obtain a Master of Science in Taxation.
