"Discover the Artist Within: The Keys to Successful Drawing" is a series of classes for all levels of artists. As a participant, you will learn about the keys to fine drawing which you will then use to start, build, and complete a piece of art. You will also learn the characteristics of the drawing tools and drawing papers. A drawing textbook, drawing pencils, and fine drawing paper will be supplied. You are welcome to bring any artist pencils and paper you already have. The textbook, “Keys to Drawing” by Bert Dodson will be referenced as needed during the class and will be a valuable resource for you as you continue your drawing journey. Participants under age 16 must be accompanied by an adult (who is also registered for this class).

Instructor: David Kapszukiewicz

David has taught many drawing and painting workshops to local artist groups. He was a graphic designer in Appleton for over 30 years. After retiring, he joined the Kewaunee Academy of Fine Arts and studied there for 4 and a half years. He had excellent training and a great deal of experience drawing and painting. He lives on Clear Lake with Mary, his muse and partner. He is proud to have been accepted into Leigh Yawkey Woodson Art Museum's prestigious "Birds in Art" event 3 times.
