Aquatics Classes
The Aquatics Program includes classes that take place in the Tomahawk Swimming Pool. The pool can be accessed through Entrance #6. For morning classes, enter through Entrance # 17, through the commons area. Public locker rooms are available for use.
Participants must shower before entering the pool. Do not enter the pool until the class start time. If you want to swim before class starts, you must pay for a pool pass (daily fee or membership fee).

Shallow Water Exercise Classes - Summer 2026 Sessions
Join this fun and energizing shallow-water exercise class held in the Tomahawk School swimming pool. This low-impact workout is designed to improve aerobic endurance, build strength through resistance training, and promote overall well-being, all in a supportive and enjoyable environment. Participants must be able to stand in the pool at all times for this class. 45-minute classes.

Megan is the Aquatics Director & Community Education Coordinator at the school with many years of experience lifeguarding, coaching, teaching swimming lessons & water exercise classes.

Gentle Water Exercise - Fall 2026 Session
This class allows you to exercise without putting excess strain on your joints and muscles. The gentle activities taught with guidance by an AEA-certified instructor will help you gain strength and flexibility. Excellent for beginners or those returning to exercise, and perioperative strengthening. Exercises approved by the Arthritis Foundation include walking, gentle stretching, flexing, extension, range-of-motion, and breathing. Exercises are done in shallow water and focus on activities of daily living, moving a joint through your range of motion. Joan has taught water exercise classes through the YMCA of the Northwoods and recently received training and certification through the Aquatic Exercise Association. Joan is also the owner of CrossFit 453 in Tomahawk.

Power H20 Exercise - Fall 2026 Session
This class provides a high-intensity workout that includes a combination of shallow and deep-water exercises to increase strength and endurance for the upper and lower body and core. The AEA-certified instructor leads participants through a number of cardio movements, using a variety of equipment. You must be able to swim to take this class.
